June in a nutshell.

This month has been kinda busy, specially towards the end. Here are some of the highlights and basically my favorite events.

  • Trivia Night at Bistro Sabor; Gay pride edition.
This was our first time going to Bistro Sabor in Napa, ever and it was really fun. At first we were just going to sit around and watch everyone play but people convinced us to form a team and participate. Some of the question were hard and others were simple. Halfway through the rounds our team sat in 14th place (out of 18 teams) but after a Golden Girls round and some a few easy question, our team caught up and took 4th place. That was definitely a surprise :) Did I mention I had Flan de Coco? Delicious.

  • Britney Spears' Femme Fatal Tour.
I had the lucky break to get tickets for the opening night of her tour, after many, many -and I do mean many- failed attempts calling the radio station to get free tickets. The show was good - a lot better than her Circus Tour I'd say. Nicki Minaj opened the show and as expected I sang along to "Super Bass". Her act was really fun, I'd only wished she had sang more -I guess I'll have to go see her whenever she goes on her solo tour.

My favorite Britney performances were; "How I Roll", "I'm A Slave 4 U", "Gimme  More", "... Baby One More Time", "S&M", her cover of  Madonna's "Burning Up", "Trouble For Me", "(Drop Dead) Beautiful", "I Wanna Go" and of course "Till the World Ends"

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take pictures because the security told us that cameras weren't allowed and so, I had to take my camera back to the car. My friend Liz and I did take some pictures with her iPhone but they didn't come up as good as we'd hoped they would.

The whole show was very entertaining and high energy. She had us dancing pretty much the whole time, so that was fun.

There's the stage :)

  •  Lunch with a friend in SF.
A couple of Mondays ago I had some errands to do in S.F so I asked a friend -that I had not seen in months- to come and have lunch with me. I took him to Nordstrom's Cafe Bistro where they have this amazing Bistro Club sandwich served with seasoned fries and olive dip -my mouth just watered, no lie. Hahaha

Lunch was great, we talked about the things we were doing this summer and our plans for the upcoming months among other things. Time flew by too quickly to be honest, but we definitely caught up with each other :)

  • S.F Pride '11
This year was really low key for me. I invited my dear friend Mia to come -this was her first pride- and of course our awesome friends Jesus and Evlyn. On Sunday morning Mia and I went to see the parade and met up with another friend of ours, Jenny. The parade started kinda slow so we were only there for an hour or so, we decided to eat something and walk around Civic Center instead. We danced for what seemed the longest time in the techno/dance section and we did some walking around. Needless to say, we were oh so tired. We all had lots of fun.

My outfit this year.

POPUSA!!!

Can't forget Stella Artois :)

Definitely a fun month, looking forward to the rest of summer. Cheers! ^

Last minute Tickets

I know this is sort of a late post but I had forgotten about it.

A month ago, I got hold on some very VERY last minute tickets to the 94.9 F.M's Wild Jam concert. The performers were; Far East Movement, Bruno Mars, Drake (which I'm obsess with) and Chris Brown. I invited my friend Liz to come with me and of course she was up for it. We literally had an hour to drive from Napa to San Jose and pick up our tickets, so with work clothes and all we headed to San Jose. Unfortunately we missed Far East Movement's set but we made it to half of Bruno Mars'. The rest of the concert was great. Drake's performance was amazing, I was surprise I was singing along to most of his songs... I can't really say the same for Liz hahaha. We tried to take pictures but we were sort of far from the stage, but this are some of the good pictures I manage to take. Enjoy.

Bruno Mars

Drake...

More Drake...

And more Drake.

Lastly, Chris Brown. Eh.
