How cute is this...

Hahahaha loves this. "... I know you are but what am I?..."

Look who has a Tumblr...

That's right! I now have a Tumblr and you can follow it here if you'd like :)

Just like a pastry chef

This summer, Mia and I decided to bake and cook. First, we made sugar cookies with the help of J and they came out amazing. J and I got creative and made a cookie in the shape of an egg sunny side up and a bruised heart with a band aid. Also, we cooked pasta with corn and carrots... the final product was dissent if I do say so myself. But I must admit, I do need help in the cooking department.

This passed Saturday, we made two and a half batches of double chocolate chip cookies with Ghirardelli chocolate chips. Maybe its just me because I love chocolate, but the cookies came out incredibly delicious. Each bite was a chocolate explosion of yummy goodness in our mouths (I might be exaggerating a bit but they were seriously that good) Mia and I had so much freshly baked cookies that both of us ended up in a double chocolate chip cookie comma. Here are some pictures, sorry about the quality of the photos... my cellphone camera sucks.

The batter...

All lined up, ready to go in the oven.

Final product... delicious.

Quote of the Day.

"A kiss is a lovely trick design by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous."- Ingrid Brergman.

JT to hit the Target

Fashionistas rejoice!

Justin Timberlake has a deal with Target stores to bring his clothing label, William Rast, to the masses. The collection will be available from December 19th to January 22th and will include denim, outerwear, and sportswear for both men and woman. The collection is inspired by “the iconography of biker culture and American denim heritage” according to Colin Dyne, chief executive officer for William Rast.

I don't know about you but I'm sorta excited to see what he comes up with. I'm mostly looking forward to the outerwear and sportswear... Oh who am I kidding, bring on the denim! :)

Quote of The Day.

Random Trip to San francisco.

The weekend of the 23rd of July, Miguel and I went for a spontaneous trip to SF. We didn't have a  plan but we just wanted to visit the city for a while so we ventured into the unknown... sort of. We took Bart from Berkeley to SF and got off on Powell and Market. If you know the city, you know thats where the shopping center is located... so that's what we ended up doing first. Shopping took most of our time but we where happy with our purchases. Since Miguel had never "been" to Castro and had a cookie from Hot Cookie I decided to take him there. The walk from Powell and Market to Castro is pretty long but we were making conversation a joking around the whole time so it went by fast. the first thing we did in Castro was check out underwear at a small shop ( I love underwear lol) then we had some Mexican food from a place down the street. The food was good (we were starving) and of course our feet took a break from all the walking. After we were done eating it was time for dessert, we walked into Hot Cookie and the options were endless. I gravitated towards the Butch Bar witch is peanut butter sandwiched between two pieces of chocolate and Miguel opted for something simpler, a chewy oatmeal cookie.

After that we went to visit our friends in Berkeley (J and Evlyn) we hung out in J's apartment, we smoked hookah to unwind and played Just Dance for the Nintendo Wii. The game got so competitive to the point where we were all shoving and pushing each other in order to win. A couple of hours later we were all sweating and tired from all that dancing and moving, it was such a workout. Miguel and I said our goodbyes  to J and Evlyn and finally headed home. It was a fun filled day for sure.

A delicious Butch Bar!

The neighbors gave us scores hahaha

A Run and A Frog.

On Thursday (two weeks ago) my friend J (Jesus) and I went for a run to one of our favorite parks in Napa, Alston Park. We ran from his house all the way to the park and we noticed our time had improved from previous times. On our way to Alston, I almost ran into a car, incoming traffic and a light pole... if it wasn't for J, I would probably be wearing a neck brace or crutches right now. Never run while distracted, its dangerous and humiliating hahaha. Once at the park we went to a creek they have nearby and we noticed tons of small frogs jumping around everywhere... J was delighted, me, not so much. I picked blackberries from a near by bush while J chased and poked frogs with a stick. I really don't like snakes, lizards, spiders or frogs for that matter, but I decided I would attempt to touch a frog (this is huge, because I usually freak out...) So J and I ventured to find a decent, not-so-gross-looking frog for me to touch. Finally I spotted a "clean" looking frog and I leaned in to touch it with my index finger, the frog jumped and I freaked. With J's help I tried a second time and I finally got the chance to touch it... The frog was dry (thank bob!) and it's skin was bumpy and somewhat rough (I'm getting chills just thinking about it haha).

Blackberries... YUM.

The frog I touched... I'm so brave! :) can you see it?
