Fall

Wow! Its been a while since I posted something on here. I just have too many things that I want to share and say but it seems like I can't find "the right words" so I've been sort of ignoring it.

So, summer is over (or it has been over) and I'm excited for Fall. As you may know, fall is my all time favorite season, why? Well, I find it to be the most comforting of them all. I like the smells, the colors, the lighting, the mystery... I can go on and on but what I like about Fall is the warmth. Yes, there is warmth to be found in Fall. The warmth of a home, a soft sweater, a cup of coffee or tea in the morning, a hand shake, a hug, the warmth of a stranger's smile or someone you know. Of course, there is also the warmth of a lover, a companion to those cold nights and lazy days. It's also the season of "self-reinvention" (if you must) just like a tree that sheds its leaves to later reveal a brighter and healthier foliage.

I'm sure I've bragged about Fall before... I always do. I can't help it if I find it inspiring.

Mariposa

I got a chance to shoot this butterfly out-side my house the other day... Amazing.

How cute is this...

Hahahaha loves this. "... I know you are but what am I?..."

Look who has a Tumblr...

That's right! I now have a Tumblr and you can follow it here if you'd like :)

Just like a pastry chef

This summer, Mia and I decided to bake and cook. First, we made sugar cookies with the help of J and they came out amazing. J and I got creative and made a cookie in the shape of an egg sunny side up and a bruised heart with a band aid. Also, we cooked pasta with corn and carrots... the final product was dissent if I do say so myself. But I must admit, I do need help in the cooking department.

This passed Saturday, we made two and a half batches of double chocolate chip cookies with Ghirardelli chocolate chips. Maybe its just me because I love chocolate, but the cookies came out incredibly delicious. Each bite was a chocolate explosion of yummy goodness in our mouths (I might be exaggerating a bit but they were seriously that good) Mia and I had so much freshly baked cookies that both of us ended up in a double chocolate chip cookie comma. Here are some pictures, sorry about the quality of the photos... my cellphone camera sucks.

The batter...

All lined up, ready to go in the oven.

Final product... delicious.
