Quote of the Day.

The Breakfast Club.
"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it. That's all."

A haunting in my sleep... well kind of :)

Lately I've been way beyond tired (urg!) that I haven't posted anything. So here is my attempt on writting something that I did the other day...

On easter night a few friends and I decided to watch a movie... a scary movie... so we went to the nearest Redbox to look at our options. Once there, I saw that they had A Haunting in Connecticut (I saw this movie in theaters and I loved it) so I thought it would be a great pick for that night. We also picked up a bottle of Mondavi's Moscato D'oro and Mumm's Brut Prestige to drink while watching the movie. The movie started playing and we all sat around the tv with our drinks.

We were so into the movie that when my friend Liz (by accident) pressed a botton in the tv remote and white noise came on, we all started screaming and panicking lol. It must have been the champagne or Liz's constant screaming that put us all on edge for the rest of the movie. After it was over we were all completely spooked, we played Mario Kart on Wii to ease our nerves and forget about the movie.

I got home after playing several rounds races and went straight to bed (this was around 12am), I woke up at around 3 am and started recaping everything that happened in the movie. I was so freaked out that I couldn't go back to sleep. I tried to think about other things like music videos I liked. I started with Adele's "Chasing Pavements" (uhmm car accident, death people dancing... not good) then I moved to Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" (hello, dancing zombies!) and then I moved to "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode and I rememberd Marilyn Manson's video for that song (I know, no help) At this point I was extreamly freaked out that I spent like an hour trying not to have a heart attack hahaha

My wish finally came true, I found a movie that gave me nightmares and totally freaked the sleep out of me :) Next time, I better be careful what I wish for... hahaha I'm so sad :p

Obviously not so

I've been wanting to watch The Forth Kind and Paranormal Activity  for a while now, so today after work I didn't feel like doing anything but watch movies (the weather kind of had something to do with it) and so I did :) I was told by friends of mine that both movies were completely terrifying and a scream fest, and that just made me want to watch them even more... OMG let me tell you, they weren't! Well, kind of.

The Forth Kind was good, I did't think it was scary but rather creepy, but I liked. The best part was the "actual" footage from the research Dr. Abigail Tyler conducted. I'm not going to lie, but the screaming actually took me by surprise and it made me jump. Other then that it was nothing too scary where I had to look away or hide my face behind a pillow (in case you were wondering, yes, I did watch both films alone). http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/11/06/fourth.kind.real/index.html

Now Paranormal Activity was a whole different story! I didn't think the movie was scary at all. In fact, it just reminded me of The Blair Witch Project which used similar filming technics. This movie kind of bored me to be honest... at times I found myself playing with my phone or just looking at the clock. It was definitely entretaining (if you are looking to waste some time).

I guess I shouldn't believed what others tell me, we all have different taste and obviously different opinions on what we think its scary. Oh well, maybe some other movie will give me nightmares :)
